Punjab: A video of assistant sub-inspector (ASI) Surinder Singh from Punjab’s Amritsar is going viral on social media. In the video he can be seen taking off his pants while being drunk while “on duty”; because of this, he got suspended. Alcohol-impaired ASI Surinder Singh is accused of stripping off in front of the Amritsar Deputy Commissioner building and flashing himself.

The official can be seen flashing himself in the longer than a minute-long video while others try to stop him. He appears to be drunk.

Here is what the the ACP said

While talking to the media Assistant commissioner of police (ACP) Kamaljit Singh Aulakh said, “ASI Surinder Singh was on duty outside the DC Complex.” A video made by a journalist went viral, showing that he was doing his duty while drunk. “We have sent the report for his suspension and also set up the inquiry against him.”

Later in the footage, another person is seen escorting the official inside the compound. As they urged him to follow them, other officials were seen arguing with the ASI, possibly to start an investigation.
