Uttar Pradesh: Panic swept through a town in Uttar Pradesh when a ten-foot crocodile emerged from a canal and wandered into the nearby area on Wednesday. Terrified locals recorded videos showing the large reptile trying to climb over a railing near the canal.
The crocodile emerged from the Ganga canal near Narora Ghat in Bulandshahr, Uttar Pradesh. Upon receiving information from locals, the police and forest department promptly arrived at the scene to capture the crocodile.

As officials tried to capture the reptile, the crocodile was observed attempting to climb over an iron railing in a bid to return to the water. However, failing in its attempt, the frantic crocodile eventually landed on the ground and tried to scurry away.

To capture the crocodile, forest officials covered its head with a cloth and tried to secure its limbs to prevent it from attacking the rescue team. Shortly afterward, ropes were brought in to tie its legs, as seen in videos. Two officials lifted the crocodile’s tail while others secured a rope around its mouth. Officials stated that the crocodile was rescued after several hours and released back into the canal.
