The clip, which has now gone viral on social media, begins with the man carrying a snake. Just when he takes his eyes off it for a split second, the reptile takes advantage of the scenario and launches a sudden and shocking strike at him.

Since being posted on 15 July, the Instagram video has garnered over 50k views, 4 thousand likes and more than multiple odd reactions. “Thankfully he is safe” one user wrote. Another user wrote, ” omg its too scary”
