Viral Video: A shocking video that recently started circulating online has taken the internet by storm, sparking a debate on social media. The footage, believed to have been recorded in Mumbai’s Thane (West), features a few kids seated in the back seat as well as the driver and aisle seat. In the video, the school kids in question were spotted driving a Mahindra XUV700 in the middle of the busy streets. After it was posted online, netizens raised questions about road safety and parental monitoring.
The video was shared on the Safecars_India Instagram account on Wednesday, March 12, 2025. It was captioned as, “Shared by Anup Kemkar. I recorded a video while driving, showing school students, likely in 8th or 9th grade (around 12-13 years old). A few of them were sticking out of the sunroof. I yelled at them for their safety. There were around 5-6 students in the car. Parents should be held responsible for this. This is extremely unsafe for both the kids inside the car and the pedestrians around them, especially the school children walking and crossing the road in that area.”
