Shivraj Chouhan Reaches Out To The Farmer

Notably, this painful scene caught the attention of Union Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, who reached out to him and assured compensation. Chouhan shared a video of their conversation on his official X handle, where the farmer told him about the losses he had incurred. He said, “My heart became agitated after watching the touching video of Maharashtra’s farmer brother, Mr. Gaurav Panwar, on social media. The untimely rain destroyed their peanut crop kept in the market. Being a farmer, I can understand this pain very well. I spoke to Gaurav ji on the phone and consoled him. Farmer brothers should not worry. The loss will be compensated for soon. The central government and the Maharashtra government stand with the farmers in every situation. Farmer welfare is our top priority.”

Netizens React

A user wrote, “Thank you very much, this was the expectation from you. Hope you will get the support price of soybean fixed at Rs 7000 for farmers. Soybean producing farmers are living in very difficult circumstances as they are not even able to recover their costs.” Meanwhile, another user commented, “Thanks for understanding farmers’ tears.. Ground nut cultivation is very crucial to cultivate now a days. Not the expected price for groundnuts in the area market. My village farmers are also keeping the groundnut crop at home. No one is coming to buy.”
