Viral Video: A recent shocking video reportedly from Hassan district in Karnataka has taken the internet by storm. In the viral clip, an elephant can be seen chasing two forest officials who tried to direct the giant animal back into the forest. According to reports, no one was injured in the incident which occurred in Belur Taluka village. As the clip opens, two officials are seen running for their lives. Meanwhile, a man continued to film the dramatic event while standing on the massive elephant’s path.

Such incidents have become increasingly common these days. Multiple similar events from the past capture wild animals chasing people. The video was reposted on the micro-blogging platform X, by a user named Ramesh Pandey on March 19, 2025. It carries the caption, “Emergency Task Force (ETF) personnel of Karnataka Forest Department were attempting to drive back an elephant to forests when another tusker suddenly charged at them. They could manage to escape. Human-elephant conflict is a challenging task for our field officials.”
