A wedding procession was allegedly sent back by the bride’s mother in Bengaluru after it was noticed that several people in the procession were in an inebriated condition. A video of the incident, which went viral on social media, shows a woman returning the “baraat” with folded hands.
Reports suggest that the groom and his friends, who were intoxicated, misbehaved during the ceremony. They allegedly threw the aarti thali in a disrespectful manner, which further angered the bride’s family.
In response to this behavior, the bride’s mother took a firm stand and confronted the wedding party in front of hundreds of people.
“If this is the behavior now, what can we expect for my daughter’s future?” she questioned, visibly upset by their actions. After this incident, the bride’s mother decided to call off the wedding, prioritizing her daughter’s dignity and future over the event.
The video quickly gained attention on social media, with many users praising the bride’s mother for her bold decision. One user commented, “She saved her daughter from drunkards,” while another wrote, “She’s a hero for standing up for her daughter.” Many social media users even called the bride’s mother a hero and commened her for saving her daughter’s life.
This incident has sparked discussions about the importance of respect and responsibility, especially during significant family events like weddings. Many have applauded the bride’s mother for taking a strong stance against such inappropriate behavior, setting an example of how to protect loved ones from mistreatment.
