Viral Video: Despite the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) issuing repeated warnings, asking passengers to refrain from engaging in inappropriate or lewd conduct while travelling on trains, several videos continue to surface online, wherein couples can be seen defying the guidelines. Recently, a video has gone viral in which a couple can be seen engaged in a passionate kiss onboard the train, while those around them appear nonchalant, suggesting that such incidents have unfortunately become a frequent sight.
The video which is being circulated on social media has blurred the face of the couple, however, one can clearly assume that they are embracing each other and sharing a kiss near the automated doors of the metro. The incident reportedly took place at Anand Vihar metro station.
“Another emotional video of Anand Vihar #delhimetro (OYO). Maybe we have forgotten that love is blind, people are not,” netizens shared while posting the video on X (formerly Twitter).

DMRC’s GUIDELINES AGAINST LEWD ACTIVITIES IN DELHI METRO
Following several such viral videos, the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) had urged its commuters to “refrain from indulging in obscene activities”. DMRC officials had also asked commuters to report such incidents to the “nearest available metro staff/CISF immediately so that appropriate action can be taken”.
“DMRC expects its commuters to behave responsibly while using the Delhi Metro and follow all social etiquette and protocols which are acceptable in the society. Commuters should not indulge in any indecent/obscene activity that may cause discomfort or could offend the sensibilities of other fellow commuters. DMRC’s Operations & Maintenance Act, in fact, lists out indecency as a punishable offence under Section-59,” the statement issued by DMRC said.
