Four SUVs were seized after a group of students allegedly performed stunts on the roads of Bhadohi in Uttar Pradesh. The police crackdown followed the circulation of a video of the incident on social media platforms. News24 could not verify the authenticity of the video.
The video shows a group of intermediate students performing stunts on a moving SUV on busy roads. The students were seen sitting on the windows of the cars, posing for the video, which was recorded by their friends on a motorcycle.
As the video went viral on Sunday, the police took cognizance of the situation and identified the vehicles with the help of their registration numbers.
According to reports, the police issued hefty fines to the vehicle owners and seized the four SUVs. Police said the students were out celebrating a farewell party for their school.
Bhadohi police emphasized that such stunts are dangerous and could lead to accidents. They urged people to avoid performing stunts on city roads, warning that strict action would be taken against anyone violating traffic rules.
