An ordinary sandwich order turned into a shocking experience for a Zomato customer after he found a plastic glove in it. The disturbing images of the meal shared by Satish Sarawagi in a post on X have left the netizens horrified. Satish had ordered a meal from a popular delivery-only food chain, ‘Salad Days’, operating in Delhi-NCR. In the viral photo, a disposable plastic glove can be seen placed between the sandwich bread slices.
The incident has sparked concerns over hygiene and safety practices in food delivery services. The customer, a resident of Noida, had attached a screenshot of his Zomato order along with the caption, “@zomato @zomatocare, I ordered a sandwich and found a glove inside the food! This is unacceptable and a serious hygiene concern. Please investigate and respond ASAP.”

Sarawagi also shared a screenshot of his order summary from the Zomato app. The receipt showed two sandwich orders (broccoli, corn, and basil pesto sandwich and a smoked cottage cheese and pepper sandwich.
Responding to the customer’s complaint, Zomato said, “Hi Satish, we completely understand your frustration. Our team has reached out to you via email at s*******i@gmail.com. If you need any further assistance, please feel free to reach out. We’re here to help.”

Meanwhile, the Delhi Eatery has also responded to the issue, stating, “We’re taking this matter extremely seriously and have immediately launched a thorough investigation with our quality assurance team. This kitchen has been flagged for urgent review. Please DM us your contact details so we can coordinate directly and ensure this is resolved properly.”
