Videos circulating on social media depict a man brandishing a chainsaw, with eyewitnesses recounting a collision involving a black car and a police vehicle prior to the confrontation.

Around twelve officers swiftly responded to the scene. Police Scotland verified the apprehension of a 27-year-old individual in connection with the “altercation involving a weapon.” The thorough investigation led to the closure of the road as authorities delved into the matter.

The intensity of the situation escalated as numerous uniformed officers exerted considerable effort to contain a single individual. Following a brief struggle, law enforcement successfully managed to apprehend the individual who had attacked the police officers.

Two officers sustained injuries and received medical attention from paramedics. A 27-year-old man was apprehended in connection with the incident. Glasgow Road is closed between Buchlyvie Road and Allanton Avenue, and drivers are advised to seek alternative routes.
