A video shared on social media shows, how a piece of concrete beam from ongoing flyover construction in Mumbai hit the windshield of a moving car in Mumbai. The news organization News 24 did not verify the authenticity of the video. The Redditors posted an unedited clip that displays multiple individuals including a police officer, at the scene where a car is seen with a large concrete beam on its windshield.
At the start of the video, the visibly shocked driver locks the car and walks toward the front side of the car, standing next to the officer already on the scene. An elderly female passenger stands beside the damaged vehicle just after the crash to observe the wrecked car. The video shows the driver and the officer taking photos of the crash damage while simultaneously showing an area of the flyover that has a distinct hole in its concrete structure. No one can confirm whether the absent part of the bridge is directly responsible for the car damage.
A Reddit user, r/Mumbai, posted the video. The user wrote, “A beam of concrete falls on a car in Mira Road from the ongoing metro work. The driver nearly escaped death.”
