Video: School Girl Lifts Overturned Auto To Save Mother, Netizens Pour Praises

A viral video from Kinnigoli, Mangalore has left the internet in disbelief, wherein an auto-rickshaw crashes into a woman crossing the road. The collision overturned the vehicle, tragically trapping the woman underneath. 

Her young daughter, Vaibhavi, present at the incident spot, quickly came to her mother’s aid and attempted to lift the overturned auto-rickshaw to free her. Bystanders quickly addressed the emergency situation. As the video went viral all over the internet, social media users are lauding the girl for her heroic act.

CCTV Footage Captures Horrific Scene

The incident occurred when the injured woman, identified as Chethana (35) was on her way to pick up Vaibhavi, a seventh-grade student, from her tuition.  Chethana suffered severe injuries from the collision, while others including the auto driver and a passenger had minor injuries. This horrifying incident was recorded in CCTV camera installed nearby. Investigations are underway.
