UP’s 18-Year-Old Achieves World Record For Climbing Mount Everest By Bicycle

Uttar Pradesh's Shivam Patel, 18, made history by climbing Everest and is gaining global attention. Despite facing challenges and doubts about returning home, he remained determined and successfully hoisted the Indian flag on Everest.

Shivam Patel, from Maharajganj in Uttar Pradesh, made history by climbing Everest at just 18 years old, and it’s being talked about worldwide. After this amazing achievement, Shivam Patel returned to India on Tuesday through the India-Nepal Sonauli border, where he received a warm welcome.

Shivam Patel said he faced situations where he thought he might not make it back home, but he stayed determined and kept going. This led him to proudly hoist the Indian flag on Everest.

He has received good wishes from many countries, including America, and got full support from Maharajganj MP and Union Minister of State for Finance Pankaj Chaudhary. He believes that his success is due to everyone’s blessings and support.

Ramashish Patel, Shivam’s father, who climbed Everest at 18, says, “My son’s achievement is a great source of pride for the whole district. I am very proud that he has brought such honor to our area.”

Regarding people who mocked Shivam, he says, “At first, people were saying negative things about him, claiming he was just wandering around. But once he made history, he became famous everywhere.”
