In a shocking event, a 50-year-old woman from Uttar Pradesh ran away with her 30-year-old grandson and married him at a temple. The woman, named Indrawati, has four children, two sons and two daughters but left her whole family behind to marry her grandson, Azad.
The two went to the Govind Sahib Temple, exchanged vows, put vermilion, walked seven rounds around the holy fire, and got married. After the ceremony, they disappeared from the village.
Shocking Love Affair
Indrawati, a 50-year-old woman, and her 30-year-old grandson, Azad, lived near each other in Ambedkarnagar. For some time, they had been secretly in a romantic relationship. Despite often meeting, no one suspected anything unusual because they were family.
Husband’s Suspicion
Four days before they ran away, Indrawati’s husband, Chandrashekhar, caught the two of them talking secretly. He became suspicious and, when he found out about their affair, he strongly opposed it. He tried to convince them to break up, but Indrawati and Azad refused to listen and decided to go ahead with their plan.
Police Involvement
Chandrashekhar even went to the police to get help, but they refused to file a complaint. Since both Indrawati and Azad were adults, they had the right to choose their partners.
Plan to Poison Family
Indrawati even made a dangerous plan with Azad to poison her husband and children to get rid of them.
Chandrashekhar’s Heartbreak and Decision
Chandrashekhar shared that Indrawati was his second wife. His frequent work trips kept him away from home, which gave her and Azad a chance to get close. Feeling deeply hurt by this betrayal, Chandrashekhar has decided to do a ritual called “terahvi” (a Hindu ceremony on the 13th day after someone’s death) for his wife. This act symbolically means he is considering her “dead” to him.
