According to the report, they booked a flight to Milan just to eat sandwiches. Instead of traveling from their home to London, they decided it was cheaper to fly to Italy.
a 49-year-old woman decided to travel abroad just to enjoy sandwiches. She and her partner, Dan Puddifoot, were originally planning to have breakfast together. Instead of buying a ticket from Cranfield in Bedfordshire to London, which would cost between Rs 3700 and 4800 and take about an hour and a half, they chose to fly to Milan, Italy, where a ticket cost only Rs 1500. They spent the day exploring Milan, eating sandwiches, and then flew back home by night. The whole trip cost them just Rs 10,000.
‘It was a beautiful day with perfect weather. We climbed the Duomo di Milano and had lunch at The Dome restaurant. I enjoyed a special pink lemonade with marshmallows. We explored the city and walked 20,000 steps,’ said Sharon. Taking a day trip to a European city was one of the 50 things Sharon wanted to do before she turned 50 next month.
