Therefore, it is necessary to be aware of all important historical event that fall on a specific day so that none of the major historical events are missed.’Today’s History’ will look into the significant historical events and major happenings on that particular day of year.

On August 6, following events took place:

1987: Aditya Narayan Birthday

Aditya Narayan is an Indian singer, host and actor. He is the son of singer Udit Narayan. He is known for hosting Indian Idol and participating in Fear Factor: Khatron Ke Khiladi 9.

1989:  Sara Ali Khan Birthday

Sara Ali Khan Pataudi is an Indian actress who works in Hindi films. Born into the Pataudi family, she is the daughter of actors Amrita Singh and Saif Ali Khan. After graduating from Columbia University, Khan began her acting career with the 2018 films Kedarnath and Simmba. Both films were commercially successful and the former earned her the Filmfare Award for Best Female Debut.

2019: Sushma Swaraj death anniversary

Sushma Swaraj was an Indian lawyer, politician, and diplomat who famously served as the Minister of External Affairs of India in the first Narendra Modi government (2014–2019). A senior leader of Bharatiya Janata Party, she was the second woman to hold the office, after Indira Gandhi. She was elected seven times as a Member of Parliament and three times as a Member of the Legislative Assembly. At the age of 25 in 1977, she became the youngest cabinet minister of the Indian state of Haryana. She also served as 5th Chief Minister of Delhi for a short duration in 1998 and became the first female Chief Minister of Delhi.

2022: Hiroshima Day 

August 6, 2022, observed solemnly as Hiroshima Day around the world, will be the 77th anniversary of the atomic bombing of the Japanese city in the final year of World War II. On this day in 1945, the United States dropped the very first deployed nuclear bomb in the city of Hiroshima, wiping out an estimated 39 per cent of the population, most of who were civilians.
