India’s premier international pageant and fashion platform The International Glamour Project (TIGP) recently held its Season 3 Grand Finale in Mumbai. This event was a grand celebration of beauty, talent, and empowerment, featuring participants in various categories, including Teens, Miss, and Mrs. It emphasized the importance of promoting role models over mere models, standing against the objectification of women.

From Karnataka Shuddhi Mahesh emerged as TIGP Miss Teen India, captivating the audience with her charm and talent. Aditi Prabhu from Mumbai claimed the TIGP Miss India title with her dazzling grace and intellect. In the TIGP Mrs. India category, Vrushali Shah from Pune impressed everyone with her unique blend of elegance and confidence. Deepti Nayak from Maharashtra stood out with her poise and style, earning the title of Mrs. India Elite.

The runner-ups were equally impressive. Hiba Shaikh from Mumbai Suburbs was the 1st Runner-up in the Teen category, displaying remarkable grit. Himanitha G from Telangana earned the 1st Runner-up title in the Miss category for her elegance. In the Mrs. category, Swayam Prava from Orissa was the 1st Runner-up in the Below 40 category, and Kainaz Mistry shone in the 40+ category with her confidence and style.

Second Runners-up also made their mark. Saartha Gore captivated the judges in the Teen category. Anagha Sivakumar from Kerala secured the second-runner-up position in the Miss category with her eloquence. In the Mrs. category, Kareena D from Thane and Sanchari P from Surat exhibited grace and sophistication, earning their places as second Runners-Ups in the Above 40 categories, respectively.

Mithula N from Kerala showcased her elegance and charm in the Below 40 category. An esteemed panel of judges added to the event’s prestige, including Vidya Malavade, celebrated actress from ‘Chak De India,’ who served as the Chief Jury. Previous seasons also featured illustrious personalities like Minissha Lamba, Celina Jaitly, and former Mrs. World Aditi Govitrikar, further enhancing the event’s reputation.

The success of The International Glamour Project can be attributed to its visionary founders. Swaroop Puranik, an international athlete and Ironman triathlete, along with Chief Mentor and Former Mrs. International World Dr. Akshata Prabhu, have been instrumental in steering the organization towards unprecedented growth. Dr. Swaroop, born in Mumbai on November 25, 1980, and raised in a middle-class family in Dombivili, pursued a career in medicine and graduated from IIM Calcutta.

He dreamed of building a platform for women empowerment. As a sportsperson, super randonneur, and multiple IRONMAN Finisher, including the North American Championship IRONMAN Race, he is also a TEDx Speaker and has been awarded by the Governor of Maharashtra. Additionally, he is a producer of the web series “Journey of a Queen.”Akshata Prabhu, a national celebrity has been Mrs.India First RunnerUp 2019.

Dr. Swaroop completed his primary education at Model English School and later did his MDS from D. Y. Patil Dental College in Navi Mumbai. His father, Dr. Vishwas Puranik, is a former National President of the Indian Dental Association and a renowned dentist in Maharashtra, while his mother is a criminal lawyer in the Mumbai High Court. Swaroop Puranik holds the license for representing India at the Mrs. International Pageant, New York Fashion Week, Paris Fashion Week, and London Fashion Week.

He also holds the license for representing India in the Mrs. Universe Pageant. His wife, co-founder Dr. Akshata Prabhu, is a pediatric dentist by profession and was Mrs. India’s first runner-up in 2019. She has modeled for Times of India, L’Oreal, and other famous brands and is also the lead model in the famous music video ‘Do Ghoont’. Their dedication and passion have helped transform the pageant into a prestigious platform that celebrates beauty and champions empowerment and leadership.
