A woman named Debbi Wood has imposed numerous strict restrictions on her husband. The couple discussed this on the ITV program This Morning. Debbi keeps track of everything her husband Steve does—where he goes, what he does, whom he meets, and what he talks about. To ensure this, she has a lie detector machine at home. Whenever Steve comes home, Debbi conducts a test on him as she sees fit.
‘Administers lie detector tests’
Debbi got the idea of bringing a lie detector machine when, during an argument, Steve said, “I am telling the truth, you can even take a lie detector test.” This incident occurred at the beginning of their relationship when they lived apart. When there was no commitment in their relationship, Steve was dating someone else. Upon discovering this, Debbi became jealous and started arguing. To prove his innocence, Steve had to take a lie detector test.
The situation became so serious that Debbi checked Steve’s phone records and bank statements. She said she went to extreme lengths to save their relationship. A year has passed since then, and Debbi has given Steve a bit more freedom, although she still administers lie detector tests on him weekly or monthly.

Restrictions on TV watchlist
The couple also admitted that Steve’s TV watchlist is restricted to prevent him from looking at other women. Debbi told, “One night, an advertisement for women’s razors came on TV, and I felt anxious thinking that Steve’s eyes were on that model. The only thing that could calm my mind was to ban such things.”
Husband happy despite restrictions
Regarding her insecurity about men who praise other women, Debbi said she can only understand men who appreciate inner beauty. She mentioned that she had been cheated on in a previous relationship, which is why she is so possessive of Steve. Remarkably, Steve is unbothered by this. He said, “When we never argue, that’s love. I am happier now.”
