Amid a surge in cases of unusual items found in food products, a customer in Tumkur district, Karnataka, discovered a spider mite inside a sealed cold drink bottle.
According to the available video, the spider mite was found alive inside a green cold drink bottle.
This incident follows previous discoveries of a human finger in ice cream, a dead mouse in a bottle of Hershey’s chocolate syrup, and a dead rat in a bowl of sambar in Ahmedabad.

The news agency PTI posted a video on social media platform X showing a cold drink bottle with a spider mite inside and wrote ‘Spider mite found inside sealed cold drink bottle in Tumkur, Karnataka.’

Forensic analysis revealed the finger belonged to an employee of the manufacturing unit.
Similarly, a woman from Noida claimed to find a frozen centipede in an Amul Ice Cream tub ordered via Blinkit, which also triggered widespread backlash online. Amul responded by reaching out to the customer, requesting the ice cream tub for a thorough investigation, but it couldn’t be retrieved.
