Astrologer and YouTuber Nidhi Chaudhary has sparked outrage by sharing a video in which she claims the Triveni Sangam is contaminated with human excreta. Expressing her shock and disbelief, she condemned the act of defiling such a sacred site, especially on one of the holiest days. She took to social media to share her distress after coming across defecation at the holy site. She posted a video showing the condition of the riverbank, which confirmed the claims she made. YouTube shared that the holy river banks were littered with discarded clothes, plastic waste, decaying flowers and garlands. Shockingly, the video showed multiple spots where people may have defecated in the open, further desecrating the holy site.

The video quickly gained traction on the social media, sparking outrage and prompting calls for action. After posting the video, she urged the governmnet to take strict measures against those responsible for polluting the sacred site.

Some suggested that given the scale of the mela, with lakhs of people attending each day, such incidents are bound to happen.
