In Chaitan’s video, she showcases her dinner plate containing rice, brinjal fry, and an unusual roti. Unlike typical rotis that are soft and pliable, this one was hard and crispy. With a humorous voiceover, Chaitan quipped, “While it may appear to be a roti, don’t be deceived. We pair it with salsa dip and stuff some salad inside. This is our version of a Mexican taco.”
Viewers unfamiliar with Mexican food found the video relatable, as tacos are recognized for their small, crispy corn tortillas. Chaitan’s inedible roti, resembling a taco, triggered laughter and elicited relatable comments online.
