Gurgaon residents faced significant disruption on Wednesday morning as heavy rainfall led to severe waterlogging and traffic congestion, once again bringing the city to a standstill. Major roads across the city were flooded, prompting the Gurgaon Municipal Development Authority (GMDA) to deploy multiple teams to ensure swift water drainage. Despite their efforts, areas like Golf Course Road, known for its luxury residences, were heavily affected.
In one of Gurgaon’s most high-end neighborhoods, which recently made headlines for ₹100 crore apartment sales, luxury cars were seen wading through deep water. A viral video shared on X captured the flooded Golf Course Road, where traffic was severely impacted. The netizen sarcastically remarked, “What should we call this? River Facing or Sea Facing?”
The video sparked outrage among users, with many questioning why Gurgaon continues to face drainage issues despite its wealthy residents. Some criticized civic bodies for their lack of preparedness, while others humorously suggested swimming lessons should be mandatory for corporate employees, given the frequent monsoon flooding.
