A Maryland social media video creator, Rebecca Olugbemi, faced a terrifying experience on Monday night. While recording a makeup tutorial around 9:45 pm, her video captured the sound of gunfire outside her home in Odenton, as reported by The New York Post.
A video captured by a reporter shows Olugbemi demonstrating a skincare product when a sudden barrage of gunshots interrupts her mid-sentence, her eyes widening in shock.
Tragically, Anne Arundel police later confirmed that the gunfire was aimed at Olugbemi’s 27-year-old brother, Isaiah Olugbemi, who was fatally shot outside their home. The makeup tutorial was abruptly ended due to the incident. No additional details about the shooting or a possible suspect have been released by the police at this time.
Isaiah sustained multiple gunshot wounds and was rushed to the University of Maryland R Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Centre, where he was pronounced dead, according to police.

‘I want people to know that my brother was an amazing father and a great man,’ Daniel Olugbemi told NBC Washington. ‘All he wanted was to be a great boxer.’
Isaiah Olugbemi was fatally shot on Meadowmist Way shortly after returning home from the gym. His sister, Rebecca Olugbemi, was recording a makeup video at the time, capturing the sound of gunfire in the background.
