New Delhi: Ratan Tata was recently honoured with the Order of Australia (AO) award for the industrialist’s efforts in strengthening India-Australia bilateral relations. The country’s High Commissioner to India, Barry OFarrell, announced the news on Twitter.

The 85-year-old has advocated for the 2022 India-Australia Economic Cooperation and Trade Agreement, while Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) reportedly has the largest Australian workforce of any Indian corporation, with approximately 17,000 employees.
The award comes just a month after the business magnate was named an Honorary Officer in the General Division of the Order of Australia (AO) for his contributions to Indo-Austrian relations, notably in commerce, investment, and philanthropy.
