The PIB has responded to the viral message, by calling it ‘Fake’. PIB Fact Check has mentioned about it on their X handle. The message which was going viral on social media states that, “A message going viral on social media claims that as per the new National Education Policy 2020, there will no longer be any board exams for Class 10.”
PIB Fact Check wrote, “The Claim is fake. The Education Ministry has not issued any order regarding the viral message.” For further reference, the PIB Fact Check has mentioned the link to the document of New Education Policy 2020.

The PIB has refuted the claims which was going viral on WhatsApp. According to the message, the Board Exam will be held for only the 12th Standard. The message also includes information about MPhil to be closed. This information was termed as ‘Fake’ by the PIB Fact Check X handle.
In January 2023, the Central Government asked social media firms to remove such information which is given the tag of ‘Fake’ by the PIB.
