New Delhi: A two-year-old Chihuahua named Pearl has been officially declared the smallest living dog by Guinness World Records (GWR) with a measurement of 3.59 inches in height and 5.0 inches in length.
For the record, they compare his length, which is similar to the dollar note and smaller than a popsicle stick. Pearl recently appeared on the TV show Lo Show Dei Record and was met with a thunderous ovation. Her pet parent, Vanesa Semler, carried her onto the stage in an extravagant Easter egg-shaped seat. She admitted to the show’s host, Gerry Scotti, that Pearl is a “bit of a diva.”

The record-keeping organisation states that Pearl is the offspring of Miracle Milly’s identical sister, who previously held the distinction. Milly and Pearl weighed only 28 g at birth.
GMR shared the news on their Twitter account with the caption, “Say hello to the shortest dog in the world, Pearl.”
Pearl’s height was precisely measured three times at Crystal Creek Animal Hospital, where she was born in Orlando, Florida. According to the Guinness World Records blog, each measurement was taken in a straight vertical line from the bottom of her front leg foot to the top of her withers.
