A video of this incident is going viral on social media, in which about six people are seen continuously punching the passenger. Some people are also seen beating him with slippers. In the video, the passenger’s nose is seen bleeding, and his clothes are stained with blood.

Railway’s Jhansi zone superintendent of police, Vipul Kumar Srivastava, confirmed that the altercation was over changing seats. He said necessary action will be taken based on the CCTV footage.

Government Railway Police (GRP), Jhansi, said they have received a complaint from MLA Rajeev Singh, based on which a non-cognizable report (NCR) has been filed. According to a PTI report, in his complaint, the MLA alleged that a co-passenger misbehaved with him and his family during the journey.
