A 29-year-old resident of the Alwar district in Rajasthan, Nasrulla, clarified that he has no intention of marrying Anju, a 34-year-old woman hailing from Kailor village in Uttar Pradesh.

The two individuals had first connected on Facebook in the year 2019 and developed a friendship.

“Anju is on a visit to Pakistan and we have no plan to marry,” PTI quoted Narulla as saying.

“She will go back to her country on August 20 after her visa expires,” he said, adding that “Anju is living in a separate room of his home with the other female members of my family,” he said.

However, on Sunday, a Pakistan based news channel claimed that a married woman from New Delhi, India, has reportedly traveled to Pakistan to meet her lover in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

According to Upper Dir SHO, Javed Khan, Anju had a four-year relationship with Nasrullah (29) from Upper Dir, whom she initially befriended on Facebook.

Their friendship evolved into love, and despite being married, Anju decided to embark on a journey to Pakistan in pursuit of her love interest, as reported by news channel.

The Indian woman’s arrival in Pakistan with a valid visa has caught the attention of the government authorities, who have initiated an investigation into the matter. However, she was allowed to stay in Pakistan for 30 days, as stated in her visa information form.

Anju revealed that she could not imagine life without Nasrullah and had decided to visit Pakistan for sightseeing, not marriage.

Her arrival has prompted a security team to launch a probe, and local journalists were restricted from meeting her on Sunday, with officials stating that she and Nasrullah had gone for an outing.
