Two big takeaway athletes from India in the Paris Olympics 2024 included Neeraj Chopra and Manu Bhaker. While Bhaker walked home with two bronze in different events, Chopra won a silver in the men’s javelin throw final. Even though the Paris Games ended a while back, social media is still abuzz with the duo, and especially after their recent meeting, which also comprised Bhaker’s mother.

Some of the videos that are currently going viral on social media show Bhaker’s mother asking her daughter to click a picture with Chopra. In another video, Bhaker’s mother is seen placing Chopra’s hand on her head as if she is asking him to make a promise.

Neeraj Chopra and Manu Bhaker :Two Flag Bearers 

Neeraj Chopra and Manu Bhaker were earlier named flag bearers for India at the closing ceremony of the Paris Olympics but there was a change last minute, and Sreejesh replaced him.

Though Neeraj Chopra won his silver, he failed to defend his gold from the Tokyo Games, so mixed emotions from him regarding the Paris Olympics. This was the first Olympic medal won by Manu Bhaker, however.
