This year, people of many areas have to face issues ranging from potholed streets to flooded roads as the monsoon season drenches. But beyond these typical irritations, one social media user highlighted a pretty frightening aspect of the rainy season. An Instagram user Sally Nolan posted a jaw-dropping video showing how a palm tree got struck by lightening amidst heavy rain. The clip has since gone viral, leaving people in shock and awe.
At the very start of the video, Nolan is recording the rainstorm from the comfort of her room. She does seem to be enjoying the scene with the rain pouring down on a calm and serene evening. Seconds later, a very powerful lightning strikes the palm right in front of her window, which results in flames shooting right through it into her window to create a mesmerizing yet frightening scene. Backing away from the window, Nolan was in clear shock at what she had just witnessed.
Earlier, Nolan wrote on her Instagram post, ‘All about the timing I wasn’t expecting this. Quietly filming the storm from my bedroom window.’ That reminds one that nature can be very unpredictable and unforgiving.
