Panic erupted at a flight from Toncontin International Airport in Tegucigalpa after a passenger allegedly brandished a gun and gave death threats to passengers. Due to the sudden development, the passenger and crew were horrified. However, a crew member managed to overpower the man and averted the major incident. Later, the plane landed safely.
Gunman Arrested On Plane By Police
Thursday night, as soon as the plane returned to the airport, national police officers boarded the plane and arrested the suspect. Disclosures have yet to be made on the person being investigated or why he brought a gun on board. There are ongoing investigations on the individual’s intention and how they managed to sneak the weapon aboard the plane.

Due to swift action, there was no loss of life, and the airline acted promptly in arranging an alternative flight to bring the affected passengers to Roatan without further delay.
Toncontin International Airport, like any other airport, had a robust security system in place to prevent arms from being smuggled on board. Currently, authorities are reviewing footage and operational procedures to identify possible shortcomings that allowed the passenger to board with a weapon.
