A retired BSNL worker was arrested in Mangaluru for reportedly driving his car into his neighbor’s motorcycle during a long-standing argument. The crash also hurt a woman who was walking nearby. The police have charged him with attempted murder and careless driving.
The accused, 69-year-old Satish Kumar KM from Bejai, was arrested after the incident on March 13 at 6th Main Road in Bijai Kapikad. Police said Satish had a dispute with the victim, Murali Prasad, and had been involved in a previous case in 2023 where he verbally abused and hit Murali Prasad’s father while he was riding a bike.
Incident Details
At about 8:15 in the morning, Murali Prasad was riding his motorcycle. Satish Kumar was in his car and drove towards Murali very fast. He hit Murali on purpose, trying to hurt him badly. Because of this crash, a woman walking nearby also got hurt and started bleeding. Murali Prasad got injuries too and is now getting treatment at a hospital.

After the incident, the police arrested Satish Kumar KM and seized his car. They filed a case at Urwa police station for attempted murder. Another case was filed at Mangaluru Traffic West police station for careless driving and injuring a pedestrian.
The accused was brought to court, where he was sent to jail until his trial.
