New Delhi: WhatsApp conversations are often about typos and auto-correction and both of them end up being a funny meme. One such case has come forth, which is not about either of them but the language.
A Reddit user shared a screenshot of his chat with his collegue where he asked for ‘sale invoice’ but the man on the receiving end took it as an abuse. Sale is an english word which means an act of selling something but if you would take it in the Hindi sense then it would have two meaning; one is the brother-in-law and the second is an abuse.
In the funny incident, the two were talking serious business. The man who posted the screenshot on the internet and said that he bursted out in laugh after his collegue asked him to not abuse.
At first, his response confused the man but when he re-read the message, he realised that his collegue had understood something else.

The conversation ended up on Reddit and the users there sparked rows of comment in the box down the post. One of the user shared how he took the word “sale” written on board outside shops. He said, “usually in front of stores I read Saale 50% off! (ab kya chahiye tereko?) ”
To his comment, another shared a similar experience and said, “I did the same infront of my parents. They thought I was getting out of hands until they realized the truth.”
Meanwhile, one user pretended to be the collegue who misunderstood the word and added to the conversation “Aur ek baat sir jo bolta h wo he hota h (One more thing Sir, it is the one who says it.)”
The comment box showed a user saying that he would have reacted the same if it were him. He said, “the “ooo” response is exactly what I’d do.”
I couldn’t stop laughing after this…
