A routine energy drink stop at an A1 Mini Mart on Main Street turned out to be a life-changing experience for Nicholas Foxx, a Virginia man. He hit the jackpot and ended up winning $1 million (8.22 Crores) following the purchase of a 20x the Money ticket from the Virginia Lottery. Roanoke native Nicholas was on his way to visit family when he stopped by the convenience store on September 19.
After his crazy win, Foxx told ABC affiliate WRIC-TV, “I thought I was reading it wrong. You don’t know anyone who has won such a large lottery prize.” Rather than taking the full $1 million over 30 years, he decided to take a lump sum of $625,000.

On being asked about his plans on how to spend the prize money, Foxx chose not to reveal it. The 20x the Money game has 4 top prizes, out of which two remain unclaimed. The awards range from $10 to $1 million.
The odds of winning any prize in this lottery game are 1 in 3.65, but for the top prizes, the chances are 1 in 1,958,400. All prized won in this Lottery are collected and given to K–12 school districts in Virginia.
