As Delhi continues to battle hazardous pollution levels, with the air quality touching the 500 mark in some areas, Bengaluru’s weather remains comparatively cleaner. As the Garden City of India records an impressive AQI ranging from 60 to 80, an X user humorously suggested, “It’s time to learn Kannada and permanently settle in Bengaluru.”
In an X post, a user named ‘Ray’ pointed out, “Clean air is a fundamental human right. But in Delhi, you have to pay for the clean air too with an additional 18% GST.”

Delhi’s AQI Hits Hazardous Levels
The National Capital experienced deteriorating air quality for the seventh consecutive day as the AQI hit the hazardous 500-mark today in many places. A dense layer of smog also continues to engulf the National Capital Region (NCR) raising concerns over the safety of the people. An AQI of 488 on November 19 was recorded until 8 am, placing the city in the ‘severe plus’ category.
Social Media Reaction
Amid this, the humorous post has sparked a variety of reactions from social media users. While some agreed with the idea, other users raised significant concerns about the challenges of adapting to a new city and learning a new language.
A user wrote, “If everyone will go there. It will also become like Delhi -NCR.” Another commented, “Yeah, the air quality… it’s kinda rough there. Moving somewhere with better air, like Bengaluru, sounds… maybe not the worst idea. But then again, figuring out a local language can be a challenge, right?”
Not quite impressed with the idea, a third user remarked, “Did you learn Hindi while living in Delhi? We don’t give a crap about what language you speak! Btw, there are several better cities than Bengaluru affected by worst water pollution, linguistic pollution, and hatred of regions. Sorry but no thanks!!!!”
A fourth user said, “I’m coming to Bengaluru because Delhi is not safe now.”
