The King Cobra, scientifically known as Ophiophagus hannah, is the world’s longest venomous snake. The snake can stand, and its iconic stance demonstrates the reptile’s size, strength, and readiness to strike if necessary.
When confronted, the King Cobra will lift up to one-third of its body off the ground, using its tail to support itself and the lower part of its body as a pivot. The snake spreads its distinctive hood, revealing the impressive spectacle of its elongated ribs, and hisses loudly, creating a distinctive sound that can be heard up to 100 metres away.
Netizens reaction
With shock, a user wrote, “I had no idea that they could grow this big.” While sharing the location a user commented, “This is the video from our native place Bilagi forest area. Location is Bilagi-Bagalkot-Karntaka-India.”
A user while sharing his experience wrote, “Yes, myself and my dad had seen such a thing years back in village, jitters down the spine, both of us were shivering and ran back to home.”
