An Indian bagpipe band gave King Charles III and Queen Camilla a surprise welcome at the Commonwealth Day ceremony at Westminster Abbey. As the royals arrived, the Shree Muktajeevan Swamibapa Pipe Band played the popular Bollywood song “Dhoom Machale” from the 2004 movie Dhoom.

The Band’s History
The band was started in the 1950s and has played for royalty many times. It has branches in the UK, India, the US, and Kenya. The group is famous for mixing Scottish bagpipes with Hindi music, creating a unique musical style.

Some people thought the video was edited, but BBC’s official coverage of the event confirmed the performance was real. King Charles and Queen Camilla were welcomed with a song no one expected, especially at Westminster Abbey.
