A young couple’s Chinese food outing took a shocking turn when the boy’s parents suddenly showed up. The 21-year-old man and his 19-year-old girlfriend were eating chowmein when his parents saw them and beat them up in public in Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh, on Friday (May 2).
The incident happened at Ramgopal intersection in the Gujaini police station area. A video of it has been widely shared on social media. Rohit and his girlfriend were eating when his parents, who didn’t approve of their relationship, showed up and started hitting both of them.

In the viral video, Rohit’s mother, Sushila, is seen furiously hitting the young couple as they try to flee on a scooter. She hits the 19-year-old with a slipper and also lashes out at her son. The crowd quickly gathered, watching the drama unfold and trying to stop the fight.
The chaotic scene caused a major stir on the road, with Sushila shouting angrily at the couple, clearly furious over their relationship.

Police Action
The police said they stepped in and stopped the fight after talking to both sides. They also said that further legal steps are being taken. The officer in charge of Gujaini police station said an investigation is still going on.
