Jio Phone 5G has passed Geekbench certification and revealed key specifications
The smartphone with the model number LS1654QB5 has arrived on the Geekbench certification website (via MySmartPrice). The certification reveals that it is powered by a chipset codenamed Holi. Based on its clock frequency, it is believed to be a Snapdragon 480+ SoC.
It is an octa-core chipset clocked at a base frequency of 1.90 GHz. It has 4GB of RAM and runs on Android 12 OS. The device could have PragatiOS skin on top of Android 12. PragatiOS has local languages and some other UI features.
In terms of performance, the device scored 549 points in the single-core department and 1661 points in the multi-core department. These scores are decent considering the budget segment.
Other than that, there is no other information about the smartphone, but since it has passed Geekbench, the launch seems to be close. The smartphone might also go through more Indian certifications soon.
Jio has been tight-lipped about the phone, but as Jio True 5G is rapidly rolling out to multiple regions, we might see a 5G phone launch soon. If an estimate is to be made, it could launch next year.
It will go up against Infinix, Realme, Tecno, Redmi and Samsung phones at launch.
