Lucknow: On Tuesday, a building collapsed in Lucknow‘s Hazratganj area. The name of the building was Alaya Apartment. In this horrific incident, two women lost their lives and left 14 others injured. Mustafa, one of 14 people to survive the horrific incident, reportedly the boy is doing well after receiving treatment at the SPM Civil Hospital.
“I was terrified but I recalled an episode of the cartoon show ‘Doraemon’ in which Nobita (the central character of the series) was taught about protecting himself during an earthquake by taking shelter in corners or under the bed. Without wasting a second, I took shelter under the bed,” Mustafa said while speaking to TOI.
The quality of the construction has come into question after the terrible building collapse in Lucknow, and an FIR has been filed. Dead bodies were recovered by the State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) on Thursday, 48 hours after the collapse of the building. Shabana Khatoon, 42, was identified by her family as the deceased when the SDRF found her body after clearing the debris from Alaya’s flat.
The SDRF team, on the other hand, said that during the Tuesday rescue operation, the bodies of three ladies were found. Following the collapse of the Alaya Apartment Building in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, sixteen people were extricated from the debris.

Following the collapse of the Alaya Apartment Building in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, sixteen people were extricated from the debris. According to a statement from his office, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath was made aware of the occurrence and dispatched troops from the SDRF and NDRF to the spot. The Chief Minister also gave the District Administrators instructions to quickly bring the injured to a hospital.
Search and rescue operations have started as the authorities have arrived. Three suspects were identified, and an FIR was filed with the Uttar Police Department. The names of the suspects, Nawazish Shahid, Mohammad Tariq, and Fahad Yazdani, have been made public by the authorities.
The two further suspects are being sought after, according to the police. The report was submitted by Senior Subinspector Daya Shankar Dwivedi. Sections 308, 323, 420, and 120B of the Indian Penal Code have begun criminal proceedings (IPC).
The structure allegedly was constructed with subpar materials and without the required permissions. The three are charged with deceiving people to make money.
Residents reportedly claimed that the building was trembling amid ongoing development that involved the use of drilling equipment, according to reports submitted to law police.
