Indian Tourist Injured While Taking Selfie With Tiger In Thailand, Video Goes Viral

An Indian tourist was attacked by a tiger in Thailand’s Phuket. The incident took place when the man tried to take a selfie with the big cat at the Tiger Kingdom. He sustained minor injuries.

A video of the incident went viral on social media. In the viral clip, the man is seen walking alongside the tiger. A trainer was also present with a stick. When the man knelt down to take a selfie, the trainer instructed the tiger to sit down. But, the tiger suddenly attacked the man who can be heard screaming in the video.

Netizens questioned about the safety protocol and welfare of animals at such tourist places.

A few people expressed concern about his well-being after the scary incident.

A user asked, “did the man survive?”

The man who posted the video, “yes, apparently, minor injuries.”

Another user wrote on X, “Are you sure minor injuries? because I couldn’t even see that vid… It was so scary ..”

A user posted on X, “Cats generally do not like being petted on the lower (back) body especially near butts. This man was petting the tiger continuously near above mentioned body area which must have frustrated the tiger. Final straw was when the man cupped it for a photo.”
