New Delhi: A Twitter post by an IAS officer, Sonal Goel, about waiting for passengers of Gofirst Airlines as the pilot went off to fly another flight. She was one of the passengers who was forced to wait and got her flight delayed for two hours without food, including little children and senior citizens.

She shared a photo of passengers forced to sit on the plane for nearly two hours without food. On April 7, Go First Flight G8 345 from Mumbai to Delhi took off one hour and 45 minutes later than scheduled. Goel questioned why consumers had to suffer as a result of the airline’s bad management, noting that the ultra-low-cost carrier informed passengers that the plane was delayed because its captain “went off to another flight.”

While giving an explanation the Gofirst Airline replied, “Hi Sonal, we hear you and apologize for the delay that you’ve experienced. We work hard to run an on-time airline; however, unforeseen events sometimes challenge us. Sorry, this happened with your flight. In the future, we’ll try harder to meet your expectations.”

The jet took off almost two hours late and arrived in Delhi early Saturday morning. Goel retaliated against Go First by citing the Ministry of Civil Aviation and Civil Aviation Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia.
