New Delhi: The Aam Aadmi Party has once again come into the limelight in Punjab. A video of Aam Aadmi Party MLA Baljinder Kaur being slapped by her husband is going viral on social media. This video has been captured in CCTV.

In the video, Kaur, a two-time MLA from Talwandi Sabo, can be heard arguing with her husband Sukhraj Singh. After which her husband slaps her.

No formal complaint has been registered

The incident reportedly took place on July 10. Police said they do not know who leaked the video or who actually carried out the incident. No formal complaint has been lodged regarding the incident.

In the video, Baljinder Kaur, a two-time AAP MLA from Talwandi Sabo, can be seen approaching her husband Sukhraj Singh during an argument. Her husband gets angry and gets up from his seat and slaps her. Some people standing next to intervene and try to drive Singh away. She can be seen crying after this incident.

The couple did not made a comment

Neither Baljinder Kaur nor her husband have commented on the video. However, Punjab State Commission for Women chairperson Manisha Gulati said that she saw the video and would take suo motu cognizance of it.

The Bhagwant Mann-led AAP government in Punjab has come under constant attack since its election. Incidentally, the Chief Minister is visiting Baljinder’s constituency on Friday. Baljinder Kaur did her M Phil from Panjab University, Patiala in 2009. Before entering politics, Kaur was a professor of English at Mata Gujri College in Fatehgarh Sahib.
