It was found in a study that hugs keep your heart healthy.  The scientists who were conducting the study included 200 people. These people were divide into two groups. The first group had romantic partners who were asked to hold each other hands for 10 minutes and then hug each other for 20 seconds.
Meanwhile, the second group was made to sit in silence for 10 minutes. It was then concluded that the people in the first group had reduced levels of blood pressure and heart rate. As per these findings, it was concluded that people with an affectionate relationship may be good for the health of your heart.

Hugs reduce fear

Scientists have found that touching or hugging can reduce anxiety in vulnerable people. They become free from any kind of fear. Even if you hug and touch an inanimate object, it helps in reducing fear. It was seen in the research that even after holding the teddy bear, people overcame their fear.

Hug gives happiness

Hug makes you feel happy. When you hug, the level of oxytocin chemical called “cuddle hormone” increases in the body. Because of which there is a feeling of happiness and relief from stress.

The study found that participants reported an improved quality of life and less pain. Hugging is another form of touch that can help reduce pain.
