New Delhi: HRs in almost all firms have a lot to deal with this Independence Day as employees try to make it a long weekend and 14 August is the day that everyone is falling ‘false sick.’
Taking a dig at the same, a company has ran a witty ticker on the campus’ display wishing everyone to get well soon. This special message was for those who have applied for sick leave on August 14.
This comes as August 14 is falling on Monday but the Independence Day is on Tuesday. It has given employees an opportunity to finally have a long weekend that they need after working from office tirelessly for a long time.
The amusing video was shared by HR at boAt, Riya Rana. The post read, “HR to Employees; very chaalak bro very chaalak!!! To all those who think nobody knows #boatlifestyle #lifeatboAt #dowhatfloatsyourboAt #independenceday”
The post got a very positive response. Employees reacted to it saying they feel caught as their true intentions of leave application has been exposed.
A user said, “Oh, what a shocker! Just like every other time, the esteemed manager requests the ever-so-timely notice for our leave plans. So, just to dazzle everyone with my impeccable timing, I thought I’d casually mention that I’ll be experiencing a sudden bout of illness on the oh-so-memorable date of August 14th. Pure coincidence, I assure you!”
