Video footage of a police constable saving a passenger’s life at Vapi railway station in Gujarat has gone viral. The incident happened when Alpesh Chauhan, traveling from Vapi to his hometown in Bharuch slipped on the platform while trying to board a moving train.
Quick Thinking Saves Lives
Constable Yogesh Jagubhai, who was on duty at the time, responded immediately. He quickly realized that Mr. Chauhan was caught in a dangerous situation and rushed forward to drag him out of the train. “The prompt response and alertness of the constable prevented a tragic incident and saved the life of the passenger,” explains the police report.
The entire incident occurred on CCTV, which shows why alertness and preparedness are so vital when emergencies arise.

The Gujarat Police appreciated the efforts of the policeman through various social media forums, noting that the policeman had done a good job of his duty. The CCTV footage could be found on social media with a photo featuring both Alpesh and Yogesh together, as shown in the gratitude between the two parties.
