Bikaner (Rajasthan): A video of Border Security Force (BSF) jawan frying Papad in the Rajasthan desert due to a severe heat wave has gone viral, followed by several reactions on the internet.
The video shows a Jawa placing papads on hot sand and roasting them in the middle of a heat wave. According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), heat wave to severe heat wave is likely to continue in some parts of West Rajasthan, some parts of Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, East Rajasthan, and Uttar Pradesh from 22nd to 26th. May and isolated pockets in northwestern Madhya Pradesh and Delhi on May 24-26. The IMD has also issued a red alert for Delhi, Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, Rajasthan, and West Uttar Pradesh for the next five days. According to the Meteorological Department, the daytime temperature may cross 47 degrees Celsius in many places in these states.

People on social media praised the jawans of BSF for serving the country in such adverse conditions. Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sharma also took the X and posted a message: ‘Seeing this video from the desert of Rajasthan fills me with immense respect and gratitude for our jawans who keep us safe in such a crisis. BSF India.’
