An elephant has won hearts in a zoo in Shenzhen, China, for showing sensitivity just like humans. According to a report by the South China Morning Post, a family was observing an elephant in the Weihai Zoo.
The moment when the child’s shoe falls into the elephant enclosure has quickly become viral on social media. Here, one sees that the elephant walks towards the show picks it up, and gives it back. It held its trunk gently to the boundary for some seconds and then dropped it back. Social media users are praising the gesture of the elephant, saying that it is admirable behavior. The video shared reads, “When this shoe fell into an elephant’s enclosure, the clever elephant returned!”
