A 35-year-old man was arrested in Greater Noida on Friday after a disturbing video surfaced showing him allegedly assaulting another man in public. The 26-second clip, which quickly went viral on social media, shows the assailant repeatedly hitting the victim with a stick while hurling verbal abuse.

The video prompted the Greater Noida police to take immediate action, and a case was registered under sections 115(2) (voluntarily causing hurt), 352 (intentional insult), and 351(2) (criminal intimidation) of the bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita at Knowledge Park Police Station on Thursday night.

While the exact reason for the altercation is still unclear, police stated that the victim allegedly misbehaved with the suspect, leading to the assault. The suspect, identified as Gaurav Giri, operates a private hostel in Greater Noida, and the victim is employed at the same establishment.

Police are working to locate the victim and gather more details regarding the incident. The investigation is ongoing as authorities continue to probe the circumstances surrounding the attack.
